Light, space and choice

There's a lightness of touch about The Terrace Restaurant at the Sheraton Edinburgh Hotel. And it applies as much to the room as the menu. By day, the space is bright, informal and fresh. At night, the atmosphere turns a little more starry as the lights from the famous Castle cast a sparkle across the room. The menu is just as vibrant with our famous carvery, wonderful cold buffet, sizzling stir fry selection and dazzling desserts. What's your favourite?

Lebanese Night
On a Wednesday evening guests can savour our delicious Lebanese buffet. Many of the dishes use herbs, spices, cereals and fresh fruits and vegetables, creating an array of colours, flavours, textures and aromas. The menu includes fattoush (salad with mint, spices and toasted Lebanese bread), fatayah b'sbaanegh (spinach turnovers with lemon and parsley) and kharouf mahshi (roasted leg of lamb with red pepper, mint, garlic and cinnamon).

Thursday's Indian Spice Night
Every Thursday we incorporate some Indian spices to our buffet selection. Using authentic ingredients, recipes and cooking styles from across the regions, the Terrace Restaurant at the Sheraton Edinburgh Hotel offers a variety of unique flavours and inspired Indian dishes.

Fish Friday
Friday nights are dedicated to everything from the ocean with fresh seafood sourced from local waters and further afield. Starters include smoked salmon gravalax and Thai squid salad, with main courses ranging from monkfish and snapper to scallops and mussels.

Family Sunday Brunch
Sunday in the Terrace Restaurant is very much a family affair.  Featuring a soothing jazz trio, fantastic carvery with all the trimmings and spacious playroom bursting with toys and games, there's something for everyone at the Terrace.

The Crush Bar
Situated next to the Terrace Restaurant and Grill Room, the intimate and relaxed Crush Bar is perfect for an aperitif or after-dinner liqueur.
